Obituary

Timothy W. McDonald, Sr. 67, of Franklin died suddenly November 16, upon arrival at Milford Regional Medical Center.
Born in Milford, October 27, 1948, the son of the late William and Marilyn (Keefe) McDonald, Mr. McDonald was a lifelong Franklin resident.
He was a 1966 graduate of Franklin High School where he was a member of the football, basketball and baseball teams. He was captain of both the football and baseball teams.
He was also a 1971 graduate of the University of Dayton.
Mr. McDonald was a recreation director for M.C.I. Norfolk for 25 years before retiring in 2011.
Tim was an avid supporter of all Franklin High School teams and a member of the Gridiron Club of Franklin.
He also was a fan of all the Boston professional sports teams.
He is survived by his son Timothy W. McDonald, Jr. and his wife Ali of Lincoln, Rhode Island.
He is also survived by his siblings, Patricia Ciavattone of Walpole, Susan Morrison of Hebron, Connecticut, Stephen McDonald of Franklin, Daniel McDonald of Buzzards Bay and Amy Campbell of Mashpee.
He is also survived by his loving companion Jeanne Blanchard of Franklin.
His funeral will be held on Friday, November 20, from the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, Franklin at 9:15 followed by a funeral mass in St. Mary’s Church at 10:00.
Calling hours will be on Thursday from 4- 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to the Friends of Franklin, 50 Corbin Street, Franklin, MA 02038.
