Ora Hobbs Hutto, 79, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Thursday, June 2, 2005, at Dorminy Medical Center, Fitzgerald, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, June 4, 2005, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, Fitzgerald, with Rev. Gregory Pope and Rev. Tim Oliver officiating. Interment will follow in Brushy Creek Cemetery, Irwin County. Visitation will be held from 7:00 until 9:00, Friday evening at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hutto was born October 16, 1925, in Irwin County, Georgia, to the late Thomas Watson and Fannie Barfield Hobbs. After she and her husband married, she moved to Monroe, Louisiana, where her husband was stationed at the United States Army Air Corps Base. Mrs. Hutto was a former employee of Fitzgerald Underwear and Modern Fibers. She enjoyed canning, baking, cooking and was an avid gardener. Mrs. Hutto was a member of Pine Level United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Hutto is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law: Sue & Aubrey Harper of Osierfield, Janet Hutto, Regina & David Durgin, Teresa & Ernest Alexander and Cynthia & Tony Herlovich, all of Fitzgerald and Felicia Hutto of Jacksonville, FL; son and daughter-in-law: Lionel & Kimberly Kaye Hutto of Plant City, FL; seventeen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; sister: Myrtice H. Culpepper of Poulan, GA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Quinton Hutto, a son, five brothers and two sisters.
