Taunton - Lester M. Semas, 76, of Taunton, formerly of Bridgewater, died Tuesday, May 31, 2005, at Life Care Center in Raynham after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of the late Edna V. (Beals) Semas.
Born March 17, 1929, in Taunton, he was the son of the late Manuel and Helen (Wood) Semas.
Mr. Semas worked as a mechanic for Yelle’s Service Center in Taunton for many years.
He collected light houses, loved yard sales and enjoyed dancing, traveling and camping.
Mr. Semas is survived by his children, Stephen L. Semas and his wife Linda of Middleboro, Barry T. Semas and his wife Ann of Bridgewater, Linda A. (Semas) Dean and her husband David of Plymouth and Lori A. (Semas) Differ of Bridgewater; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and his longtime companion, Beatrice Luiz of Berkley.
His funeral service will be held in Prophett Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. (Rte. 18), Bridgewater, Friday at 11 a.m. Visiting hours are Thursday 4-8 p.m. Burial will be in St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery.
