TEWKSBURY: Margaret L. (Miller) Cook, age 90, a resident of Tewksbury for the past 2 years and a former resident of Norwood for over 20 years, died Sunday, May 29, 2005 at her home.
Born in Hinckley, Maine on November 25, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Otto Miller, Sr. and Carrie E. (Cayford) Miller.
Mrs. Cook was raised in Hinckley and Eastport, Maine and attended a one room school house in Eastport.
Prior to her retirement, she worked as a clerk at the Fellowship Bookstore of Boston. Mrs. Cook resided in Dorchester for several years and later moved to Norwood. While living in Norwood she attended the Trinity Community Church.
She enjoyed many activities including crossword and jigsaw puzzles, country music, watching “Wheel of Fortune”, “Jeopardy” and “America’s Funniest Videos”. Mrs. Cook especially enjoyed vacationing with her grandchildren.
She is survived by 2 daughters; Lucille Ewing and her husband Dennis, with whom she resided of Tewksbury and Gail Bernardo and her husband Donald of Norfolk; 1 son; Thomas M. Cook, Jr. and his wife Ellen of Medfield; 7 grandchildren; Terrie Floyd of Andover, Coreen Floyd of Natick, Christopher Cook and his wife Sarah of Somerset, Andrew and Kellie Cook of Medfield and Nick and Meghan Bernardo of Norfolk; 1 great grandchild; Alexandra Cook of Somerset.
Mrs. Cook was the sister of the late Phillip Miller and Otto Miller, Jr.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 3rd at 1 p.m. at the Trinity Community Church, 234 Walpole Street, Norwood. Interment will follow at West Parish Cemetery, Andover.
