Obituary

SARVER, Norman Edward “Bud”, 75, of Louisville, passed away peacefully, at home, surrounded by family, on Friday, November 13, 2015.

Born in Madison, IN, grew up in Cincinnati, OH, he retired after 21 years in the United States Army. During that time, he lived all over the world, including 2 tours of duty in Vietnam. He received the Bronze Star, Air Medal, and Meritorious Service Medal. He retired after 24 years with the United States Post Office. In his retirement, he was an employee of Owen Funeral Homes.

He belonged to Camp Knox Masonic Lodge #919 and held the 32nd Degree with the Scottish Rite. He was also a Greeter in the Kosair Shrine.

Norman was preceded in death by his parents, Lucille (Rice) and Norman L. Sarver; brother, Billy; and sister, Norma Sarver.

He leaves behind the loves of his life, his wife, Kathleen, and son, Patrick (Daniela); daughters of his heart, Jennifer (Ronnie) and Julie (Danny); his beloved grandchildren, Nicholas, Ashlee, Elizabeth, Kendal, Andrew, Peyton, and Jillian; and also many close family and friends.

Memorial visitation 1-4pm Wednesday at Owen Funeral Home – Jeffersontown, 9318 Taylorsville Road. Burial will be private.
