FRAMINGHAM: Carolyn J. (Wyand) Sullivan, age 79, a longtime resident of Framingham, died peacefully at Mary Ann Morse Nursing and Rehab center in Natick on November 8, 2015.
Born, raised and educated in Boston, Carolyn was a daughter of the late Harrington and Frances (Mich) Wyand. She was employed with Sears for several years, working in the old store on Park Drive at the edge of Boston’s Emerald Necklace. Upon her marriage, Carolyn and her husband lived in different locales as his career in the US Army progressed, eventually settling for a good period of time at Fort Dix in New Jersey. Carolyn returned to Massachusetts in 1974, and has made her home in Framingham since then.
Carolyn enjoyed a long career as an operator with the Veterans’ Administration’s Boston area hospitals. She retired briefly after many years at the West Roxbury location but returned to work part time with the information department at Jamaica Plain.
She is survived by her son, Wayne Sullivan of Framingham, her daughter, Jayne Brundin and her husband Ian of Walla Walla, WA; four grandchildren, Lindsay, Kevin, Tyler, and Bailey; five great-grandchildren, Kaleigh, Skylar, Max, Avery, and Lila; and her sisters, Miriam McLaughlin and her husband Robert of Falls Church, VA, and Nancy Pellegrini and her husband Dennis of South Yarmouth, MA.
