Coyle Leon Shaw, 81, of Anderson died November 13, 2015 at Community Hospital after a brief illness.
He was born on April 6, 1934 in Canaan, Indiana, the son of Paul W. and Lona E. (Vestal) Shaw.
He graduated from Hanover College in 1956, where he was a member of the Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity.
He was employed by L. S. Ayres then Hoyt Wright Co. for over 20 years and was later employed as dining room manager for Edgewood Country Club.
He was a member of Lions Club, and enjoyed golfing at Edgewood Country Club.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jane E. (Korb) Shaw of Anderson whom he married August 11, 1956; daughter, Julie (Mark) Bruner of Carmel; son, George (Madolyn) Shaw of Huntington; sister, Marene Kellems of Canaan; four grandchildren, Alexandra Bovis; Jacob, Sam and Elaine Shaw; two step-grandchildren, Reid Bruner and Jennifer (Mike) Giancola; two step-great-grandchildren, Megan and Sam Giancola; niece, Deana (David) Simon and nephew, Kevin Kellems;
A memorial service will be held at noon on Wednesday, November 18 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor Kevin Bausman officiating.
Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to American Cancer Society or First Presbyterian Church.
