Olga (Pierotti) Cardullo, 98, of New Bedford died November 12, 2015 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness.
She was the wife of the late Anthony P. Cardullo.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Domenic Pierotti and Antonia (Sbrocchi) Orabona and step-daughter of the late Joseph Orabona. She lived in New Bedford all of her life.
Mrs. Cardullo was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church.
She was a member of the Sons of Italy and the St. Francis of Assisi Women's League. She was a recipient of the Marian medal from the Diocese of Fall River.
Survivors include her son, Paul A. Cardullo and his wife Rachel of Dartmouth; a daughter, Anne E. Nigra and her husband Luciano of Assonet; a sister, Mary Balestracci of New Bedford; 5 grandchildren, Jaime Dore and her husband David, Adam Cardullo, Elizabeth Lariviere and her husband Steven, Jennifer Nigra and Kathryn St. Yves and her husband Nate; 6 great-grandchildren, Grayson and Sydney Dore, Avery and Riley Lariviere, Luke and Owen St. Yves; and many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Joseph Orabona, Louise Parkinson, John Pierotti, Adeline Orabona, Elvira Furlani and Lily Orabona.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford Monday, November 16th at 9:30 AM. Funeral Mass at St. Francis of Assisi Church at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visiting hours Sunday, November 15th from 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army, 619 Purchase St. New Bedford, MA 02740 or to the charity of one's choice.
