Georgette E. (Pasquantonio) Maietta, 84, of Franklin died November 10 . She was the wife of the late Anthony Maietta.
Born in Franklin, May 13, 1931, the daughter of the late Sabatino and Antoinette (Palumbo) Pasquantonio, Mrs. Maietta was a lifelong Franklin resident.
She had worked for over 30 years in the cafeteria at Tri County High School in Franklin before retiring.
Georgette loved playing bingo, especially at the Franklin Elks Club. She also enjoyed trips to Foxwoods and vacations to Las Vegas and New Mexico with her late husband.
Georgette was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots.
Attending St. Rocco’s festival every summer with her family was something she always looked forward to.
For Georgette, being with her children and grandchildren and extended family was her most cherished time of life.
She is survived by her children, Maureen Marchand of Franklin, Marc Maietta and his wife Margaret of Franklin and Michelle Crossen of Bellingham.
She was the sister of the late Theresa Thomas, Emma Micelotta, Rose Padula, Elizabeth Campisano and Fred Pasquantonio.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Keri Bogigian, Michael Bogigian and his wife Melinda, Jamie Maietta, Kelsey Crossen, Caitlyn Crossen, Cameron Crossen and Jeffrey and Ryan Maietta.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday, November 14 from the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, Franklin at 9:15 followed by a funeral mass in St. Mary’s Church at 10:00.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Calling hours will be on Friday from 4 – 8 p.m.
