Obituary

WEBSTER – Jean M. (Haugh) Mansfield, 64, died Tuesday, November 10, 2015 in Lanessa Extended Care after a long illness.
She leaves her husband of 46 years, Robert K. Mansfield, Jr.; a son, Robert K. Mansfield III of Stoughton; a daughter, Cathy M. Morris and her husband Mathieu A. Morris of Raynham; 2 grandsons, Michael S. Morris and Jonathan R. Morris; her father, Thomas Haugh of Yarmouth; 2 brothers, Thomas and Stephen Haugh, also of Yarmouth; her twin sister, Joan Brown of Millbury; nieces and nephews.
She was born in Boston and raised in Dorchester, daughter of the late Mary (Couris) Haugh. She lived in Stoughton for 35 years before moving to Webster in 1990. She graduated from Hyde Park High School in 1969. She studied at Newton-Wellesley Hospital School of Nursing and then earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and also a Master’s Degree with a specialization in the science of nursing from Mass. College of Pharmacy.
Mrs. Mansfield was a registered nurse in the emergency room at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. She then worked as a consultant for Harvard Vanguard Medical Facility, retiring because of illness in 2008. She had been the President of the Emergency Nurses’ Association for 10 years. In that capacity, she was instrumental in organizing conventions on both the state and national levels.
The funeral will be held Saturday, November 14, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St., with a Mass a 10:00 AM in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 24 Dudley Hill Road, Dudley. Burial will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, November 13, in the funeral home. Donations in her name may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, Mass. Chapter, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.
