CHICOPEE – Kimberly A. “Kim” (Centerbar) Chouinard, 48, of the Chicopee Falls section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Friday, November 6, 2015. She passed into Eternal Life at her home surrounded by all the memories she loved and cherished. She was born in Holyoke on October 24, 1967, a beloved daughter of Russell G. Centerbar and Lynne E. (Carroll) Centerbar, both of Chicopee. She was raised in the Fairview section of Chicopee, graduated from Chicopee Comprehensive High School and was a lifelong resident of Chicopee. She furthered her education and graduated third in her class from Holyoke Community College where she received an Associate’s Degree in Business. She was employed as a claims representative at several area insurance agencies and also worked as a pharmacy technician at the former Louis & Clark Drug Store on Memorial Drive in Chicopee. Kim was an avid reader, had an infectious smile and a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. She had a heart of gold and was always ready to assist her family and any of her friends in need. She loved animals and enjoyed volunteering at local animal shelters. Besides her loving parents, she leaves her loving son, Joshua R. Chouinard of Truckee, CA; her loving daughter, Sarah L. Chouinard and her partner, Carlos Zengotita, of Holyoke; her loving sister, Karen A. LaDuke and her husband, James, of Granby; her two cherished nieces, Hannah G. LaDuke and Chloe G. LaDuke, both of Granby; and her many dear uncles, aunts, cousins, friends and extended members of the Centerbar and Carroll families. A private funeral will be held at the convenience of her family. Her funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. The parking lot and main entrance are located in the rear of the funeral home at 20 Lafayette Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
