Obituary

George H. Soper, lifelong resident of Abington, passed away November 8, 2015 at age 68 surrounded by his loving family.
He was a talented general contractor and craftsman for most of his life. He served his country in the army during the Vietnam War.
He was everything to all people. He was a “fixer” of everything either with a hammer or a hug! His sweet caring and loving way and strong silent presence touched so many lives.

Beloved husband of Joan A Soper, devoted father and friend of Heather Capraro and her husband Tony Capraro of Concord, NH, Michael Soper and his wife Alyssa Soper of Whitman and Daniel Soper and his wife Andrea Soper of Abington. His greatest pride are his grandchildren: Jillian Curley, Zachary and Kaitlyn Soper. Survived by siblings Charles Soper, Donald Soper and Jeanne Miller. Predeceased by his parents Herbert and Muriel Soper and siblings, Barbara, Mary, Herbert, Walter, Roberta, Robert and David.

His funeral services will be held on Thursday November 12th at 8:15AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St. (Rte. 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman, followed by a funeral mass at 9:00AM in the St. Bridget Church, Abington. Burial will follow in the St. Patrick Cemetery, Rockland. His visiting hours will be held on Wednesday November 11th from 4:00-8:00.
