Faith A. Maddocks, 68, of Farnum Pike, Smithfield, died peacefully Friday, November 6, 2015. She was the wife of Gary Maddocks, Sr. They had been married for 39 years.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Nils A. and Germaine M. (Brisson) Hansen. She had lived in Smithfield nearly her whole life.
Mrs. Maddocks was an Earth Science teacher at Gallagher Middle School for 30 years before retiring. She held her Masters of Education degree from Rhode Island College. She was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxillary VFW Post 2929, Smithfield.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her children: Yvonne Ricci and her husband, Matthew of Cranston, Troy Maddocks of Smithfield and her step-son Gary Maddocks Jr. of North Scituate, her three grandchildren: Mia and Domenic Ricci and Livia Maddocks, her brothers: Hans Hansen and his wife, Mary Jane of Foster and August Hansen and his wife, Doris of Denver, CO.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 4-7 PM in the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Home, Greenville. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to Home and Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI.
