Matthew J. Malouin, 27, of Manchester died suddenly on October 30, 2015.
Born in Manchester on February 5, 1987, he was the son of Ronald Malouin and Rhonnie (Zela) Smestad. He was educated in the Manchester school system and graduated from Memorial High School in 2005. Matthew also studied at Southern New Hampshire University.
Matthew worked as a bouncer for many years at The Derryfield Country Club, where he was given the nickname “Rambo” and in client services for Gold’s Gym.
He enjoyed all sports, mostly basketball, football, fishing and golf. He was very involved in health & fitness and spent much of his free time working out. Matthew had a passion for animals, and loved his late companion, Burrito. He was described as sometimes sarcastic, calm and reserved, and protective. Above all, he will be remembered as a loving son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend.
Family members include his mother, Rhonnie (Zela) Smestad and her fiancé James Luckern of Manchester; his father Ronald Malouin of Manchester; sister Nicole “Coco” Lever and her children Liliana and Hudson Lever of Manchester; aunt Jennifer Moquin of Manchester; cousin Jada Moquin of Goffstown; many loved ones in his extended family, including his stepfather Dennis Smestad; two stepsisters, Jennifer Leandres and Amanda Luckern; two stepbrothers, Brian and Scott Smestad; and several nieces and nephews who adored him.
