Gloria E. (Feliciano) Barreto, 68, of New Bedford died October 30, 2015 at Our Lady's Haven after a long illness.
She was the wife of the late Candelario Barreto.
Born and raised in Isabela, Puerto Rico, the daughter of the late Pablo and Guillermina (Martinez) Feliciano, she lived in New Jersey, New York and Chicago before moving to New Bedford 30 years ago.
She enjoyed knitting, gardening and walking.
Survivors include 2 sons, Ramon "Ray" Barreto and Javier Barreto and his partner Jeannette Morales, all of New Bedford; a daughter, Adriana "Anna" Barreto and her partner John D. Ramos, Sr. of New Bedford; 3 brothers, Ruben Feliciano of Puerto Rico, Enrique Feliciano of New York City and Juan Feliciano of South Carolina; a daughter-in-law, Jennifer Barreto of New Bedford; 2 sisters, Carmen Feliciano and Virgilia Feliciano, both of Puerto Rico; 8 grandchildren, Shawndrae, Izaiah, Dominic, Darian and Shania Barreto, Jayden, Jonila, and John Ramos, Jr.; 2 great-grandchildren, Mia and Nazier Barreto; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the grandmother of late Thalia and Nevaeh Ramos and the sister of the late Eugenio Feliciano.
Visiting hours Friday, November 6th from 4-8 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Her Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 7th at 9 AM in Our Lady of the Assumption Church.
