Paulette Black

Augusta, GA – Mrs. Paulette Verdier Black, 91, wife of the late James W. Black, entered into rest Thursday, October 29, 2015.

Mrs. Black was a native of Paris, France. She moved to the United States with her beloved husband of 51 years, Jimmy; together they traveled the map and settled in Augusta. She worked as a seamstress and retired from Carol Fabrics. She was a member of St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church and of the Femmes de France.

Family members include her sons: Russell Blodgett and Michel Black; daughters: the late Frances Colette Blodgett and Melody Ann Knight; grandson: Adam Knight; and granddaughters: Angelique Knight, Stephanie, Olivia, and Alice Black.

The funeral Mass will be Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church with Fr. Gerald Ragan celebrant. Burial will follow in Westover Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 106 SRP Dr., Suite A, Evans, GA 30809.
