RAYNHAM – Anna Paula (Duarte) Strachoff, wife of Gregory Strachoff, died at her Raynham home surrounded by her family on Oct. 29, 2015.
She was 51.
Born in St. Michael, Azores, she was the daughter of Edgardo Duarte of Fall River, and the late Maria Eduarda (Benton-Tavares) Duarte.
Anna received her Master’s Degree in Psychiatric Nursing from the University of Massachusetts.
She was a Professor of Psychiatric Nursing at Bristol Community College, and was employed as a Charge Nurse for Taunton State Hospital for 20 years.
A member of the Calvary Church of Rockland, Anna loved arts and crafts, poetry, attending galas, entertaining, and most of all, was passionate about her family.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is leaves two daughters, Christina Strachoff and Samantha Strachoff, both of Raynham; one brother, Louie Duarte of Taunton; three sisters, Filomena Murphy and her husband Robert of Taunton, Maria Guillemette and her husband John of Taunton, Nina Medeiros and her husband Manny of Taunton; and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
She was also the sister of the late Mario and Edgardo Duarte.
Funeral Services will be held at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Monday, Nov. 2nd at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will follow at Pleasant Street Cemetery, Raynham.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, Nov. 1st from 5 to 8 p.m.
