WORCESTER-Louis Franco Rivera, 21, of 2A Homestead Avenue died Saturday, May 28th as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He leaves his father and step-mother Frank R.and Iris Rivera of Worcester, his mother and step-father Carmen M. (Rosado) and Angel Pena of St. Cloud, FL, 4 brothers; Frankie L. and his wife Helene Rivera of Worcester, Angel Pena, Jr. and Alessio Pena both of St. Cloud, FL and Roberto Silva of Worcester, a sister; Francine M. Rivera of Worcester. He also leaves his paternal grandmother Sylvia Rivera, his maternal grandparents Juan Rosado and Gladys Cotto all of Worcester, 2 nephews; Manual Sierra, Jr. and Frankie Rivera, Jr., and a niece Tianna Rivera, an uncle, 4 aunts and cousins. His fraternal grandfather Eufracio Rivera predeceased him.
He was born in Manhattan, NY. Mr. Rivera was a 2002 graduate of Burncoat Senior High School, and had recently been employed as a machinist at the St. Gobain Company. He enjoyed football, sports, listening to music and time spent with friends.
The funeral is Friday, June 3rd with a service at 11:00 AM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday, June 2nd from 4:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
