Obituary

CHICOPEE – Aaron Van Marshall, 26, a longtime resident of the Fairview section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Tuesday, October 27, 2015. He passed into Eternal Life at his home surrounded by all the memories he loved and cherished. He was born in Springfield on August 8, 1989, a beloved son of Van Alan Marshall and Joanne M. (Bazinet) Marshall, of Chicopee. He was raised in Chicopee, graduated in 2007 from Chicopee Comprehensive High School and was a lifelong resident of Chicopee. He later attended Holyoke Community College. Aaron was a fun-loving guy who enjoyed performing, had a wonderful voice and enjoyed singing. He especially loved singing karaoke and sharing his wonderful voice with others. Aaron had a heart of gold and his family and friends were always near and dear to his heart. An active New York sports enthusiast, he enjoyed watching the Yankees and the Giants. He was a communicant of Saint Anne Church in Chicopee. Besides his beloved parents, he leaves his loving sister and brother-in-law, Jordan McConaha and her husband, Drew, of West Springfield; his cherished grandmothers, Mary A. Bazinet and Elizabeth Marshall, both of Chicopee; and his many cherished uncles, aunts, cousins, friends and extended members of the Marshall and Bazinet families. He was predeceased by his loving grandfathers, Roland L. Bazinet, Jr. who was Called Home on June 25, 2013 and Willard G. Marshall who was Called Home in May of 1982. His family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday morning, November 6, 2015 at 10 a.m. in Saint Anne Church, 30 College Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. His burial will be private. There are no visiting hours at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Fairview Chapels, (413-533-3307), 506 Britton Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
