NEW BEDFORD - Edward K. Corrie, Jr., 81, of New Bedford died Sunday, October 25, 2015, at
St. Lukes Hospital surrounded by his family following a brief period of declining health.
Born in New Bedford he was the son of the late Edward K. Corrie, Sr. and Elizabeth (Mulroy) Corrie.
He was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the United States Air Force.
Prior to his retirement from Sprint as a Telecommunication Specialist, he was employed at Western
Union and Newport Naval Base. He was an intelligent man who enjoyed gaining knowledgppe and also
spending time with his children, grandchildren and his animals.
His family includes Sons: Edward and wife Brenda of Dartmouth, Eric and wife Andrea of Acushnet
and Peter of New Bedford. Daughter Erin (Corrie) Duff and husband John of Rochester.
3 Sisters, Millicent Reynolds, Janet Magnant and Marilyn DeJesus. Also 8 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren,
and many nieces and nephews.
His visitation will be held on Thursday, October 29th from 10 - 11 AM at the WILSON CHAPEL, 479 County St.
New Bedford, followed by his funeral service at 11 AM. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
