Obituary

Robert H. Schenck, age 86, of Miami, FL, died October 14, 2015 following a period of failing health. Born in Everett, he was the son of the late Francis E. and Catherine R. (McMahon) Schenck. Raised and educated in Brockton, he was a 1947 graduate of Brockton High School, and had been a resident of Miami, FL since 1957. Bob was an Army Veteran of Korea, and for many years was a historian for the VFW in Miami and a volunteer for the USO. For over 35 years he was an employee of City National Bank of Miami, and retired as Vice President. Bob was an avid reader and traveled extensively throughout the world.
He is survived by his nieces, Catherine Roscoe, Barbara Toohey, and Bonnie Schenck; great niece, Kathleen Baroud,great nephews Patrick Toohey and Richard Campbell; his sister in law Marilyn Schenck, and dear friend Javier Montoya and his family of Miami, FL. Bob was the brother of the late Francis and Richard Schenck.
A funeral Mass will be held in Christ the King Parish, 54 Lyman Street, Brockton, Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 10am. Visitation will be held in the church prior to mass, beginning at 9:15am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bob’s name may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society of Christ the King Parish, 54 Lyman Street, Brockton, MA 02302.
