Carolyn Davidson Cottle, 73, of Ty Ty passed away Monday, October 26, 2015, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Her funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, October 29, 2015, at Ty Ty First Baptist Church with Rev. Rodney Owens and Rev. Justin Devereaux officiating. Mrs. Cottle will be laid to rest at Ty Ty First Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 28, 2015, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Cottle’s sons and grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be all former members of Tifton Tomboy Softball teams.
Born September 8, 1942 in Tift County, Mrs. Cottle was the daughter of the late Kermit Davidson and Nannie Lee Sewell Davidson. She was also preceded in death by a son and daughter-in-law, Kyle Cottle and Mitzi Cottle Lassiter; a brother, Kermit Donald “Duck” Davidson; and three sisters, Marolyn Cooper, Delores Butts and Bettie Paige. She attended ABAC, where she was a cheerleader. She loved gardening and coaching softball and enjoyed her bowling and card nights. She was a member of Ty Ty First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Cottle is survived by her husband, Tommy E. Cottle of Ty Ty; two sons and daughters-in-law, Tye and Maria Cottle and Dusty and Michelle Cottle, all of Tifton; one daughter and son-in-law, Darby and Todd Veazey of Tifton; and eight grandchildren, Carly Veazey, Chance Veazey, Cody Cottle, Sam Cottle, Brooke Cottle, Chase Cottle, Charlie Cottle and Reid Cottle.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial gifts may be made to Southern Care Hospice, 143 U. S. Highway 319 South, Moultrie, GA 31768.
