BEVERLY: Carol A. (Madore) Stentiford, 76, died Saturday, October 24, 2015 in the Salem Hospital following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Arthur J. Stentiford who died in 2000.
Born in Salem on September 19, 1939 she was the daughter of the late Augustine and Dorinne (LeBlanc) Madore. She was a graduate of St. James High School, Salem class of 1957. She had resided in Salem for many years before moving to Beverly in 1958.
Carol was employed as a baker in the Beverly school system for twenty-seven years before her retirement in 2002. She was a member of the Living Hope Church of the Nazarene in Beverly, where she was an active volunteer. She was also an avid Boston Red Sox fan.
She is survived by her son, David Stentiford and his wife, Cindy of Waterloo, Iowa; her daughter, Theresa Stentiford of Waterloo, Iowa; two grandsons, Ryan Stentiford and his wife, Lisa of S. Paris, Maine and Garrett Wells of Waterloo, Iowa; one great-granddaughter, Brooke Stentiford of S. Paris; a brother, Roger Madore and his wife, Mary of Woburn; a brother-in-law, John Papa of Beverly and several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by a brother, Larry Madore and her twin sister, Corinne Papa.
Her funeral service will be held on Thursday in the Living Hope Church of the Nazarene, 556 Cabot St., Beverly at 11 a.m. Visitation will be held prior to the service in the church from 10 -11 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Interment will be held in North Beverly Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Loaves and Fishes, c/o Living Hope Church.
