Gladys Ruby Shea, 68, of Chelmsford, MA passed away Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Riverside Rest Home in Dover, NH. She was born on June 18, 1947 in Boston, MA, a daughter of the late Lloyd and Mabel Mann. She enjoyed cooking, yard work, crocheting, arts and crafts. She will always be remembered as a strong willed, vibrant woman that lit up a room when she entered. She was a loving, kind, generous Mother and Grandmother that lived for her family.
Gladys was predeceased by her husband, John Silver and her brother, Charles Mann. She is survived by one son, Robert J. Shea; two daughters, Kathleen L. Crowley and Heather A. Shea-McCracken and her husband, William McCracken; five beautiful granddaughters, Jessica, Danielle, Melissa, Christina and Michelle; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Judith Enos and Mabel “Dolly” Boudreau; and two brothers, Lloyd and Joseph Mann.
Calling hours were held on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 from 4pm to 7pm at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd, Londonderry, NH with a service that began at 7pm. A private gravesite ceremony will be held for the family on Friday, October 30, 2015 in the Forest Hill Cemetery in East Derry. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, MA/NH Chapter, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, Massachusetts 02472.
