Leslie Donald Morse, 76
WINDHAM – Les Morse, 76 died Oct 24, 2015, in his Windham home, surrounded by his loved ones, following a long illness. Les was born in Machias, ME on Aug. 14, 1939, he is survived by his wife of 50 years Linda B. Morse and sons Glenn and Greg Morse. His grandchildren are, granddaughters Morgan and Cadence Morse, grandson Gavin Morse and deceased granddaughter Mallory Morse. He is also survived by his brothers, Erlon R. Morse and wife Jean of Windham, Kendall E. Morse and wife Jackie of Scarborough. Deceased family members are mother Editha W. Morse, father Lowell E. Morse, sister Mabel Morse Wood, Brother Carlton L. Morse, sister, Bernice M. Saucier, sister Geraldine M. Blyther, Brother Daryl L. Morse. Les worked 15 years as a welder at Seabrook NH before becoming a drywall contractor in 1984. However his real love was playing bluegrass music. He was a member of the Maine Bluegrass Association of Maine. He and his brother with their band The Morse Brothers consisting of Dick Pelletier, Ebin Greenleaf, Jim Spizzucco, and Bobby St. Pierre, made Bluegrass band of the year in 1979. Les also loved drag racing and enjoyed watching his sons’ race this past summer. As Les requested, there will be a service and celebration of his life, followed by a Bluegrass jam with his many musician friends, Sunday, November 1st at 1:00 PM. at the Stonehedge barn, 342 W. Gray Rd. Gray ME. Relatives and friends are invited to come share their respect and memories.
