In Taunton, October 22, 2015 Edward C. Simpson, Age 55, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family, following a brief illness. Edward is survived by his wife Donna (Osborne) Simpson of Taunton. He was born in Taunton, the son of the late William H. “Red” Simpson & Irene (Menard) Simpson. Edward was employed at the Harodite Finishing Company for nineteen years and the Valero Gas Station in Taunton the past five years and also part time at Walmart. Ed was a former softball coach and he also coached at the AMF Bowling League and was their past president. He also enjoyed vacationing in New Hampshire, Twin River Casino and spending time with his family. In addition to his wife, Edward leaves his children Timothy Smith, Christopher Simpson and Samantha Simpson all of Taunton. He also leaves his four grandchildren Amber Smith, Ariana Smith, Jacob Smith and Jaelyn Smith. His siblings Luanne Simpson of Nantucket, Susan Wood of Warwick, RI, Paul Simpson of RI and Kenneth Simpson of Fall River. A funeral home service will be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Wednesday, October 28th at 7 pm. Relatives and friends are also invited to visiting hours prior to the service from 5-7 pm. Burial is private at the request of the family.
