Antoinette (Asaro) Banks, 100, of New Bedford died Monday, October 19, 2015 at Savoy Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, New Bedford. She was wife of the late Walter R. Banks, to whom she was married on Christmas Day in 1944. Born in Castelvetrano, Italy, daughter of the late Giovanni and Frances (Filingeri) Asaro, she was raised in Brooklyn, NY and moved to New Bedford in 1945. Mrs. Banks devoted many years to her parents, caring for them from 1964-1980. She also enjoyed reading.
She is survived by her son: George W. Banks of New Bedford; and several nieces and nephews. She was sister of the late Andrew Asaro and John Asaro.

Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, New Bedford.
