Lillis E. (Cullinane) Conway, 83, of South Walpole, died October 20 in the Kindred Hospital Northeast - Stoughton. She was the wife of James L. Conway.
Born in Walpole, August 23, 1932, the daughter of the late Thomas and Elsie (Balduf) Cullinane, Mrs. Conway was a lifelong Walpole resident.
Mrs. Conway had worked at the Kendall Company, been a home health aide and operated her own variety store in Walpole.
She enjoyed gardening, yard sales, traveling and collecting dolls.
She helped many, many people who will miss her dearly.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her children, Herbert, Dean and Gene Roberts and James Conway II. She was the mother of the late Deborah Hancock.
She is also survived by her siblings, Thomas Cullinane and Ellen MacDonald.
She is also survived by three grandchildren that she raised, Julie Sampson, Dean Roberts Jr. and Shauna Manning, also Heather, Jason, Daniel Hancock and Christopher Roberts.
She is also survived by her nine great-grandchildren, who were the delights of her life – Zachary, Allison, Joey, Kayla, Tony, Dennis, Lenka, Shannon and Emelia.
She was the niece of Frieda Giandomenico and Dorothy Kleimola.
She is also survived by her favorite nephew Michael MacDonald and many other nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her funeral service will be private.
Visiting hours will be on Thursday, October 22 in the Ginley Funeral Home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 892 Main Street, Walpole from 4-8 p.m.
