Cruz Galvan Salazar 77, of Ventura, passed away on Saturday October 17, 2015. Mrs. Salazar was born May 3, 1938 in Sonora, Mexico .
Cruz was a manager for over 25 years for the Employment Development Department for the state of California. She enjoyed going to the Chumash Casino, watching and supporting the Los Angeles Dodgers, making crafts, and she was an active member at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, where she would volunteer and sing in the Spanish choir.
Cruz is survived by her daughters Lena Salazar (and her husband Tim Ebner) of Los Angeles) and Leah Salazar Brown (and her husband Bruce) of California City; sister Margarita Haro of Arizona; grandchildren Kathryn Pingry, Brian Brown, and Matthew Isaac Ebner; and great grandchild Arlen Isaac Pingry.
Rosary will be recited at 6:00 P.M. Wednesday – October 21, 2105 at the Joseph P. Reardon Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. Thursday – October 22, 2015 at Our Lady of the
Assumption Catholic Church, Ventura. Burial will follow at Ivy lawn Memorial Park, Ventura. Friends may visit at the Joseph P. Reardon Funeral Home, 757 East Main Street, Ventura, from 5:00 to 9:00 P.M. on Wednesday.
