Donald J. Morrissette, 75, died Friday, October 16, 2015. He was the loving husband of Barbara (Jenkins) Morrissette.
Born in Cranston, he was a son of Alfred and Margaret (Harding) Morrissette. Donald had been a bus driver for the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority for 35 years before his retirement. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
Besides his wife, Donald is survived by his children, Thomas D. Morrissette of Johnston, Deborah Morrissette of North Providence, Russell R. Grey of St. Cloud, FL, Renee M. Grey of Pascoag, Felicia A. Grey of Pascoag, Ernest A. Simoneau of Pascoag and Stacey R. Perreault of Woonsocket, his eleven grandchildren, his thirteen grandchildren, and his siblings, twin brother Ronald J. Morrissette of Smithfield and Harold Morrissette of Eden, OK. He was the brother of the late Susan Bentz.
His funeral will be held Thursday at 8am from the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Greenville Common, Greenville. A funeral service at 9am in Highland Park Cemetery, Johnston. Visitation Wednesday, 4-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675.
