Obituary

Tydlee Harper of Wray, Georgia, died Thursday, May 26, 2005 at her residence.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, May 30, 2005 at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, Ocilla. Visitation will be held Sunday evening, from 7 until 9 at the funeral home in Ocilla.

Mrs. Harper was born in Bedford, Virginia to the late Jasper Lewis and Wavie Mays Waldron. She grew up in Bedford, Virginia, moving to the Irwin community in 1949 from Los Angeles, California, where she worked at Bullock’s Department Store. She was a farmer, a homemaker and during World War II, she worked as an Air Craft Inspector in Los Angeles. Mrs. Harper was an avid reader and gardener.

Mrs. Harper is survived by her husband: Clyde E. Harper of Wray, GA; two sons: Clayton Harper of Clear Lake, TX and Mike Harper of Macon, GA; two daughters: Leah Harper of San Francisco, CA and Lynn Harper-Young of Houston, TX; nine grandchildren; one sister: Judith Spencer of Quincy, FL and one brother: John Waldron of Roanoke, VA. She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 1515-1 Gillionville Rd., Albany, GA 31707.
