Patrick Salvucci of Plymouth died peacefully on October 17th following a lengthy battle with cancer. He is the beloved husband of Holly A. (Jackman) Salvucci. Loving father of Heather Gifford and her husband David of Acushnet, Nicholas Jackman of Ohio, Derek, Kristian and Abigail Salvucci of Plymouth. Cherished Lil Papa of Emmalee and Tyler Gifford. Brother of Jerry Salvucci and his wife Pat of Florida, Billy Salvucci of Colorado, and Annmarie and the late Frank Maloof of Florida.
Born in Brighton, MA on August 23, 1957, he is the son of the late Gerardo and Marie (Curley) Salvucci. He was educated in Brighton and attended St. Columbkille's and Brighton High. Patrick worked with the U.S. Postal Service. He started as a letter carrier in Dover, where he met his wife and continued on to the Brockton GMF as a Mailhandler. He also served as a steward and AVP for the Mailhandler's Union.
He is an avid Boston sports fan, especially of the Patriots. He attended many games with his friend Andy Lange. He received the Carnegie Medal for Heroism. He will be remembered as a storyteller who was NEVER at a loss for words.
Visiting hours in the Davis Funeral Home, 619 State Rd, Manomet (Plymouth) on Thursday, October 22nd from 4 till 8 pm. A prayer service will be held at 7 pm. A private burial will take place at Highland Cemetery in Dover, MA on Friday.
