Betty J. Clark, 76

Dateline: Norton, MA

Betty J. (Libby) Clark, age 76, of Norton passed away on Friday, October 16, 2015 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton.
She was the beloved wife of the late Dale R. Clark who died on October 1, 2014. Mr. and Mrs. Clark were wed on December 15, 1967.
Born in Attleboro, MA on October 2, 1939 she was a loving daughter of the late Lothrop Libby and Janice (Vickery) McGrath. She grew up and was educated in Attleboro.
A dedicated homemaker to her adoring family, Betty had also worked as a caregiver at Growthways in Brockton and Integrated Services at Wheaton College in Norton. Prior to being married, she had worked at the former L.G. Balfour Co., Buxton Box and Junes Country Shop, all in Attleboro.
A resident of Norton for the past 48 years, she was a former member of the Second Congregational Church and the Rainbow Girls while living in Attleboro.
Betty’s greatest joy in life was her family, especially enjoying spoiling her grandchildren. Her hobbies included attending Friday night bingo at St. Mary’s Church in Norton, crocheting afghans, which she shared with family and friends, going out to lunch with friends, attending ceramic classes and caring for animals, which she loved dearly.
She is survived by her loving and devoted daughters Debra L. Johnson and her husband Wayne of Norton and Cindy L. Dennett and her husband Jacob of Norton. She was the dear sister of Jill Wheeler of Dighton and the late Robert Libby. She was the cherished grandmother of Victoria Johnson, Rachael Johnson, Gabe Dennett, Ashten Dennett, Brooke Dennett and Callie Dennett. She was the sister in law of Audrey Libby, Beverly Ebert, Anne Clark, Jill Clark, and the late William Wheeler, Sr., Merle Clark, Jr., Walter Clark and Earl Ebert. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and her grand puppy “Neely.
Her funeral service, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Tuesday, October 20tth at 11:00 A.M. in the Trinitarian Congregational Church, East Main and Pine Streets, Norton. Burial will follow at the Timothy Plain Cemetery in Norton.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday, October 19th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Avenue) Norton.
