Louise N. Coholan, 92, of New Bedford died October 13, 2015 at New Bedford Health Care Center.
Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late John L. and Mary T. (Duffy) Coholan, she was a life long resident of New Bedford.
She was a communicant of Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish.
Miss Coholan was formerly employed by the New England Telephone Company as a telephone operator until her retirement. She was a graduate of Holy Family High School.
She was a member of the Telephone Company Pioneers, the Daughters of Isabella Hyacinth Circle, and the Holy Name Women's Guild.
Her family would like to thank the staff at New Bedford Health Care Center for the compassionate care that Louise received from them.
Survivors include 6 nephews, Mark Flanagan and his wife Barbara of Taunton, Stephen Finnerty and his wife Diane of Mattapoisett, Thomas Coholan and his wife Barbara and Lawrence Finnerty and his wife Sally, all of New Bedford, Dennis Coholan of California and John Flanagan; and several great nieces and great nephews.
She was the sister of the late Kathleen V. Coholan, John L. Coholan, Martha Finnerty, and Mary Flanagan and the aunt of the late Paul Finnerty.
Her Funeral will be held on Saturday, October 17th at 8 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by her Funeral Mass at Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church at 9 AM. Burial with follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visiting hours Friday, October 16th 4-7 PM.
