John W. Murphy 64 of Natick died Monday October 12, 2015 at the Rose Monahan Hospice in Worcester. Born in Natick and a lifelong resident he was the son of the late Earl and Rita (Petrie) Murphy.
Mr. Murphy was employed for the past twenty years at St Patrick Parish in Natick as a maintenance and grounds worker. He previously worked for Professional Tree and Landscape Company in Framingham and as groundskeeper for The Country Club in Brookline.
John enjoyed riding his motorcycle, traveling, playing in the Natick Softball League, Cape Cod and sharing his noted sense of humor with friends.
He attended the Natick School system and graduated from Natick High School Class of 1970.
He is survived by his siblings Donna Napoleon and her husband Peter of Madison, WI, Edward Murphy and his wife Deborah of Uxbridge, Robert Murphy of Framingham, Denise Harnett of Holliston, and Catherine Gross of Natick, many nieces, nephews, numerous close friends including Dan Twomey.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral on Saturday at 9:00 A.M. from the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home 4 Park Street, at Natick Common followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St Patrick Church at 10:00 A.M.
Visiting hours are Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M.
