Claire C. (Frechette) Berube, 93 of Holmdel, NJ, passed away on Monday, October 12, 2015 at her home. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond Berube.
Claire was born in Lawrence, the daughter of the late Charles and Marie (Paquette) Frechette. She was raised and educated in Lawrence and attended St. Anne’s Grammar School in Lawrence. She worked in the family’s commercial laundry for many years. She attended St. Ann Church in Keansburg, NJ.
Claire will be deeply missed by her son, Richard R. Berube of Holmdel, NJ; her daughter, Cecile L. Berube and her spouse, J. Warner, of Boxford, MA; 2 grandchildren, Kristen Makiej and her husband, Craig of Pelham, NH and Neila Berube of Long Island, NY; 5 great grandchildren, Saige, Michael and Leah Braydon and Colby. She is predeceased by her grandson, Michael Berube; daughter-in-law, Pauline Berube; brothers and sisters, Albert Amedee, Ronald, Francis, and Mary Lou Frechette, Rita Bernier, Annette Fournier, and Lillian Levasseur.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Claire’s life by gathering for calling hours at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen on Friday, October 16, 2015 from 4 - 8 P.M. Her Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Monica’s Church in Methuen on Saturday at 11 AM. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Andover.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested, in Claire’s honor, memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association, 10 Speen Street, 2nd Floor, Framingham, MA 01701.
