William P. Caruso , age 76 of Medford, passed away Thursday in the Lawrence Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
Mr. Caruso was born in Somerville, the son of the late Alfred and Phyllis (Chiardo) Caruso. He served in the US Army during WWII as a mechanic. He retired as a truck driver from the teamsters Local 25 after 37 years.
William was a member of the Medford VFW, and Woburn Elks. He loved his family very much and they all loved him and he will be greatly missed.
He is the beloved husband of Dolores (Parilla.) Loving father of Alfred of Medford,Rosemarie “Chickie” Smithers and her husband Mark of Medford, Lawrence of Medford, and Laura Accaputo and her husband John of Windham, NH. Loving grandfather of 6 and great grandfather of 1. Dear brother of Robert Caruso and his wife Patricia of Medford. Loving brother in law of Joseph and James Parilla of NH, and Maryann Goroshko of Medford.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Tuesday at 9 am followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford, at 10 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
