Angelo Cerbone passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family. He was 87. Born and raised in Afragola, Napoli, Italy he was the son of the late Vincenzo and Filomena (Fatigati) Cerbone. A member of the Carabinieri in his native Italy, Angelo came to the United States with his family in 1968, first living in the North End of Boston, then settling in Medford. He was a hard- working man who was dedicated to his family. He was a founding member of the Associazione Nazionale Carabinieri Sezione Carlo Alberto Dalla Chiesa.
The beloved husband of 57 years of Placida Cerbone in Cerbone, he was a devoted father to Filomena and her husband Brian, Antonietta and her husband Philip, Vincenzo and his wife Jennifer. He was the cherished Nonno to Philip, Angelo, Isabella and Allegra. He was a dear younger brother of the late Maria Coppeta and Angelina Coppeta and also leaves many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Tuesday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden, at 10 AM. Services will conclude with entombment at Holy Cross Mausoleum, Malden. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday 4 - 8 pm.
