Bessie A. (Smart) Hanna of Natick, formerly of Needham died on Wednesday May 25, 2005 at Eliot Healthcare in Natick. She was 92 years old. Born in Scotland, Bessie was raised and educated in Montreal Canada. She came to the United States at the age of 30. A graduate of Burdette College, Bessie worked for the Old Trusty Dog Food Company for 20 years and in the billing department at the former Glover Hospital in Needham for 25 years, retiring in 1980. A longtime member of the Congregational Church in Needham, she was a 50 year Grainger and active in the Needham Business Women’s Club at the church. The beloved wife of George L. Hanna. Bessie is also survived by her loving family and many friends. Funeral services at the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave Needham on Sat. May 28th at 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours Saturday morning from 10-11 AM. Interment will be at Needham Cemetery.
