Jeanne M. (Hunt) Connolly age 84, died peacefully, Friday October 9, 2015 surrounded by her family at her home. She was the loving wife of Michael F. “Mike” Connolly, retired Boston Police Officer. Jeanne was born and raised in South Boston a daughter of the late John “Jack” and Grace P. (Quirk) Donahue. She had previously lived in Stoughton and Sandwich before making her home in Norton.
A graduate of Jeremiah E. Burke High School, Jeanne worked for the Massachusetts School of the Blind until she retired in 1985. Previously she had been employed by Jackson & Molin Engineering Company for many years.
Jeanne was an avid traveler, taking many trips and cruises with her husband Mike to Hawaii, Las Vegas and Florida. She also loved to dance, bowl and garden in her free time. Jeanne will be remembered as a loving and caring lady who enjoyed time spent with her husband and her dogs.
In addition to her husband she is survived by several nieces and nephews including a special niece Deborah J. Basse and her husband Albert “Chip” of Easton and their children Cheryl, Brittany, Alexa and Albert. She was the sister of the late Robert, Edward and Sonny Hunt and Mary McIntyre.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (Rte. 123) Brockton on Monday 5-8 pm. The procession will gather at the funeral home at 10:30am for a funeral Mass in Blessed Mother Theresa of Calcutta Church, 800 Columbia Rd. Dorchester at noon. Burial will follow in Mt.
