Richard "Dick" Blake Sr.
Feb. 20, 1938 - Oct. 8, 2015

Richard "Dick" Blake, 77, of Anderson died at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital and transitioned to his eternal home on Oct. 8, 2015

He was born Feb. 20, 1938 in Paris, KY to Emmett and Frances (Wagoner) Blake.

He served in the Indiana National Guard.

He worked in the Shipping and Receiving department of Guide Lamp for 32 years before retiring in 1996, and attended Madison Park Church of God.

Dick enjoyed many hobbies including all motorsports and equestrian activities, and restoring motorcycles and trucks. He was an avid Colts and Cardinals fan.

He is survived by his wife, Mary (Sharp) Blake of Anderson; mother, Frances (Wagoner) Blake; son, Richard "Ritch" (Kimberly) Blake; daughter, Candy (Blake) Jaqua; sister, Shirley Martin; two brothers, Emerson (Nancy) Blake and Charles (Jeannie) Blake; grandchildren, Bethany (Andrew) Quinn and Casey (David) Rom; step-grandchildren Jill May and Kaylin Bond; great-grandchildren, Coy Kingston Rom; step-great grandchildren, Eli May and Benjamin May; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, sister and brother-in-law, Barbara "Jeannie" and Gale Knoblock.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor Art Leftridge officiating. Entombment will follow at East Maplewood Cemetery with Military graveside rites.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, October 12, 2015 at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be given to Madison Park Church of God.
