Obituary

George A. Carlson, of Dedham, died May 24, 2005 at the Caritas St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Brighton. He was 88. Mr. Carlson was born in Boston and was the son of the late John & Eleanor (Benson) Carlson. He was a decorated World War II Army Veteran, serving as a Special Agent in the Central Intelligent Corps. He was an employee of the General Electric Supply Corp., and a retiree of W. H. Nichols Co., of Waltham. Mr. Carlson was very active in the Dedham community serving as a member of the Brookdale Cemetery Committee and a Dedham Town Meeting Member.
Beloved husband of Joanne B. (Manna) Carlson. Loving father of Susan E. Carlson of Canton, and Linda J. Carlson of Millersport, Ohio.
Funeral from the George F. Doherty and Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High Street, Dedham, Saturday at 9:00 am. Funeral service at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Berwick Street, Norwood, Saturday at 10:00 am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours, Friday, 4-8pm. Interment in Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association – MA Chapter, 341 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
