Obituary

Sharon Mackin, 65, of Louisville, KY passed away on Monday, October 5, 2015. Sharon would like to let you know that her work here is done. She received a call, a sort of an offer she couldn’t refuse, for an appointment from which she will not be returning. This assignment comes with a huge sign-on bonus, a reunion with family and friends she has not seen in a long time. Her new mission takes her to a wonderful place where she will be worshipping her Savior, dancing, gardening, and socializing to her heart’s content. Celebrations, laughter, and love are guaranteed.

Her family and friends wish God-speed to her on her new heavenly journey. We will remember her smile, her warmth, her energy, her love for life, her amazing Christmas candy, and her love for all of us. She made a difference in the lives of many and her legacy will continue to live on in the hearts and lives of those she loved. We love her to the moon and back and will be reunited with her again someday. Because of Jesus, there are no goodbyes...only high fives, fist bumps, and "until we meet agains."

Sharon was a 32 year employee of PSC Fabricating in Louisville. She is preceded in death by her father, Augustine “Bud” Mackin and mother, Anna Mackin both of Bardstown, KY; brother, Norman Louis Mackin of Louisville; and nephew, Paul Mackin of Macon, Georgia.

She is survived by her sister, Linda Stringfield (Lewie) from Lima, Ohio; brother, Lynn Mackin from Louisville; and nieces and nephews, Cindy Byrd (Wayne), Kim Bedingfield (Kent), Danny Mackin (Karen), Kevin Mackin (Rhonda), Pat Mackin, Shawn Neal (Tim), Darren Mackin; and many great nieces; great nephews; cousins; and friends whom she loved dearly.

We invite you to join us in a celebration of her life:
