Virginia R. (Erickson) Parziale, age 91, of Brockton, died on October 2, 2015 at St. Joseph Manor. She was the wife of the late Carmine V. Parziale. Born in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Minnie (Hammond) Erickson. She was raised in West Bridgewater and was a graduate of West Bridgewater High School. For over 15 years, she worked in the Brockton School Department as a cafeteria worker, retiring in 1988. Virginia enjoyed camping, sewing, knitting, crocheting, cooking, crossword puzzles, watching the Red Sox, and time with her family, especially her grand and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her children Sandra Geilear of Conway, SC, Linda Porter and her husband James of Wareham, and Victor Parziale and his wife Loriann of Brockton; four grandchildren Karen Monahan, Kristen Wolfe, Matthew Parziale and Lindsay Hart; two great grandchildren Joseph Landry and Jamie Cracraft; a sister Arlene Cronin of Middleboro and many nieces and nephews, especially Debra Deieso for her loving caregiving. She was the sister of the late Edward and Walter Erickson, Muriel “Honey” Lauzon, Edith”Dee” Deieso and Barbara Severson.
Private visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Saturday, October 10, 9:30-10:30am followed by a funeral service at 10:30am. Burial in Melrose Cemetery.
