Obituary

John L. Miale of Venice, Florida, formerly of Johnston, RI passed away on September 24, 2015 in FLorida.

Born in Providence, RI, he was the son and dedicated caretaker of the late Frank and Sadie (Beckley) Miale. His dedication to his parents enabled them to enjoy their final years in the comfort of their home. John was known to his neighbors as “the Mayor of Papaya Road”. He was usually the first person they met when they moved into the neighborhood. John is remembered for riding his lawnmower down the street with his headphones and sunglasses on, a smile on his face, as he cut the lawns of his elderly neighbors. John had no strangers in his life, only friends he hadn’t met yet.

He is survived by his brothers, Michael J. Miale Sr, and his wife Pamela, and David F. Miale and his wife Linda, and his nieces and nephews Michael J. Miale Jr and his wife Nicole, Keri L. Rainone and her husband Richard, Kimberly A. Kelley and her husband John, and Matthew J. Miale his wife Michelle. He is also survived by 9 great nieces and nephews and his dear Florida family of Mick and Linda Glaser and Aaron and Shannon Wilson.

A Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 10am in Our Lady of Grace Church, George Waterman Road, Johnston. Burial will follow in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston.
