
SOUTHAMPTON – Ronald A. Potvin, 59, a longtime resident of Chicopee and Southampton, was Called Home on Tuesday, October 6, 2015. He was born in Springfield on December 6, 1955, a beloved son of Helen L. (Paquette) Potvin of West Springfield and the late Alphonse J. Potvin who was Called Home on March 25, 2003. He was raised in Chicopee and graduated from Chicopee Comprehensive High School. He was employed for many years with his dad, Al, at Potvin’s Auto Body and Sales on Hampden Street in Chicopee. He was last employed as an auto body technician at The Body Shop in Springfield. During his leisure time, Ronnie enjoyed hunting and fishing. Besides his mother, he leaves his former wife, Diane J. (Stevens) Potvin; his two loving sons, Christopher M. Potvin and Corey J. Potvin, both of Southampton; his sister, Constance M. “Connie” Lacharite and her husband, Donald, of South Hadley; his sister-in-law, Donna M. Potvin of Chicopee; and his many dear nephews, nieces, cousins and extended members of the Potvin and Stevens families. Besides his father, he was also predeceased by his dear brother, Paul A. Potvin, who was Called Home on February 20, 2011. Funeral Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
