William E. “Bill” Monfet, age 77 of Lawrence passed away on Friday, October 2, 2015 at the Wood Mill Center of Lawrence. Bill was born on July 14, 1939 in Lawrence to the late Edward and Rose (DeOrio) Monfet. He was a graduate of Tenney High School, Class of 1956. Bill was a member of the B.P.O.E. #65 Lawrence, a member of the Combination Club and a member of the Dewey Club.
William was the father or William E. Monfet Jr. of Nashua, NH and Lori Beardsley of NH. Bill was the dear brother of Robert Monfet and his wife Nita of Merrimac, John Monfet of Salisbury, and Elaine Bergeron and her husband Peter "Mike" of Salem, NH. He is also survived by his former wife Janet Spalthoff of Nashua, NH and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
