David L Simison Jr 68, of W. Bridgewater, died at home October 3, 2015 surrounded by his family. He was the son of the late David L and Anne (Moynihan) Simison. David was born in Boston and raised in Brockton before moving to W. Bridgewater many years ago. He was a graduate of Brockton High School and following graduation went to work for the F.H. Chase Company of Foxboro. He later went to work for the Carpenters Union 624 where he was able to put his stamp on a newly constructed Rox Stadium in Brockton; he retired in 2008.
After retirement David filled his time with his close family and enjoyed the many refurbishing projects on the family homestead both inside and out, with special attention to the yard and his love of flowers.
He is lovingly survived by his siblings, Joan Simison of Plymouth, John Simison and his wife Nancy of Sandwich, Francis Simison and his wife Marcia of W. Bridgewater and Michael Twomey of Henderson, Nevada; his nephews Justin and Brendan Simison and Richard Thimas and his great nieces and nephews, Ava Grace Minster and Jaxton Simison and Alexia and Richard Thimas Jr. He was also the longtime friend of Donny and Jesse Allsopp.
Visiting hours will be Tuesday in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton 5-8 pm. There will be a graveside committal Wednesday in the Pine Hill Cemetery Main Street (Rte 28) W.
