Mary G. Calandrello (Juliano) of Wilmington, formerly of Waltham, age 100, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2015 surrounded by her family. Loving daughter of the late Carmine and Maria (Creonte) Juliano, predeceased by her adoring husband Pasquale Calandrello and her siblings Joseph, Jennarino, and Amelio Juliano and Esther Abbondanzio. Survived by her devoted daughters Patricia Kenney and her husband Edward, and June Spencer and her husband Robert all of Wilmington; her loving grandchildren Maria, Thomas, and Suzanne Kenney, Tracey Miscuraca and her husband Christopher, Michael Spencer and his wife Lori, Joseph Spencer, and Mary Beth Beals and her husband Robert; cherished great-grandmother of Gianna and Marcello Misuraca, Holly and Nicholas Spencer, and Tyler, Lilyana and Summer Beals all of Wilmington; sister Madge Allia of Waltham; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and countless friends.
Mary was educated in the Waltham School System, received two double promotions in grade school, and played and enjoyed basketball and soccer. She aspired to enter college, but was sent to work to help support her family. Mary moved to Wilmington in 1939. Some years later after they married, she and her husband successfully owned and operated "Patsy's Farm" a working vegetable and turkey farm at 677 Main Street until the time of her husband's death in 1965. Mary's greatest and proudest times were spent with her family and friends around the dinner table. Mary enjoyed crocheting and needlepoint, which led her to work at Compugraphic/Agfa as a harness cable maker. She was always doing something with her hands. Throughout her life Mary traveled extensively to Bermuda, Italy and Sicily.
Funeral services from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 374 Main Street, Wilmington followed by a mass of Christian burial at St. Thomas Church, Wilmington and interment at Wildwood Cemetery were held, October 3, 2015.
