Clarence A. "Skip" Melville, age 78, of Mission Hill, on September 10, 2015. Son of the late Clarence & Viola (McGeary) Melville. Skip was born on May 23, 1937 in New York and lived many years in the Bronx. In the 1980's, Skip moved to Massachusetts where he worked various jobs, including as a dog handler. From approximately 2004 until September 2014 Skip lived at Landmark Assisted Living, Parker Hill Ave., Boston. From September 2014 until his passing, he resided at the Benjamin Health Rehab Center, Fisher Ave., Boston. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He will be remembered for his gentle, caring, and humble nature. He is survived by nephews Kenneth and his wife Kathy Horky, Alan and his wife Donna Horky, both of Florida and niece Adrienne Nesiba and her husband Todd of Maine along with many great nieces and great nephews. He was the brother to the late Aurolyn M. Horky and Royald J. Melville. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Basilica of Our Lady of Perpetual Help - Mission Church 1545 Tremont St. Mission Hill on Thursday October 1 at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are invited and may visit with the family at the church from 9 am until 10 am before the Mass. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery, Roslindale.
